Numbers That Work 2008
We developed a marketing plan for domain names that focuses on the mobile any market, emphasizing memorability and usability. Because of the 1- (dash or hyphen) our domains look like phone numbers so our system creates an instant memory hook for users to phone numbers and keypads, anyone will benefit but site owners with content valuable to mobile visitors will reap the rewards. and we now have a compelling reason to register domains with Dot Mobi domain extensions... (not yet we don't)
Because 'Numbers That Work' Domains are like phone numbers; Mobile surfers everyone know the site is intended for them because the site is saying, 'Call us. We answer the phone."
Plus the domain names are easy to remember.
Our System for Naming Domains Builds on 3 Major Concepts
<Phase II Announcement is now here: Please Visit Crossover Domain Names for info>
The main concept and basis for a 'Number That Works' is that it uses a phone keypad to translate numbers to words.
Secondly, the domains begin with a 1- before the letters and numbers and domain names made up of numbers generally spell something when converted on a phone keypad.
We think placing a 1- before the letters and numbers in the domain name provides an instant connection to mobile surfers with a domain name people will remember because of the 'memory hook' to phone numbers... dot com and dot mobi. (not so much yet)
The Components
1-Dash Domains - use Letters and Words
Consists of letters and starts with a 1 and a dash.
- The dot com version targets desk-bound surfers
- The dot mobi domain name targets mobile surfers
Example:
1-Pizza.com
1-Pizza.mobi
1-Dial Domains - use Numbers
Consists of numbers and starts with a 1 and a dash.
Example:
1-74992.com (spells Pizza on a phone keypad)
1-74992.mobi
